Gujrat:  Deputy Commissioner Saif Anwar Japa said that all resources are being provided to provide modern facilities for dealing with emergencies with better municipal services in major towns. The procurement of modern machinery to improve the sanitation system will help in improving the performance of local bodies. 


He expressed these views on the occasion of supplying fire vehicles to municipal committee Dinga. He also visited Monza Chichiyan and expressed his condolences on the death of Major General Dilawar Khan’s mother and prayed for her forgiveness and elevation. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Raza Machhiana was also present on the occasion. Deputy Commissioner Saif Anwar Japa said that citizens were facing difficulties due to a lack of fire vehicles in the densely populated town of Dinga in Kharian tehsil. In case of fire, there were complaints of increased financial losses due to the time required for the fire vehicle to reach from Kharian, on which immediate action has been taken and a fire vehicle has been provided. 

Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner also visited Monza Machhiana and reviewed the arrangements for cleaning the area with the help of locals. He said that the Gujrat district has a successful experience of public-private partnerships. With the cooperation of the administration and the citizens, welfare and social projects can be completed faster and better. Deputy Commissioner Saif Anwar Japa said that most of the municipal committees of the district have started the process of procurement of modern machinery for cleaning under the municipal services program. Completion of the project will help in improving solid waste management.
