Gujrat: In order to curb artificial inflation in the district, Deputy Commissioner Saif Anwar Japa along with administrative officers visited vegetable and fruit markets in the morning, auctioned fruits and vegetables under his supervision, and supervised the sale of essential commodities at fixed prices. The Prime Minister has also assigned responsibilities to the Tiger Relief Force. As per the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar, Deputy Commissioner Saif Anwar Japa reached the vegetable and fruit market in Gujrat in the morning while Assistant Commissioners Salman Zafar, Faisal Abbas Mangat conducted auctions in Jabalpur Jattan and Lala Musa vegetable market under their supervision. The Deputy Commissioner later visited Suhlat Bazaar Kanjah and inspected the stalls selling vegetables, fruits, flour, sugar, and other items. He directed the officers to ensure the availability of ample quantity of all the items as per the demand in the convenience market as well as rate boards should be prominently displayed on large fruit stalls and vegetable shops. On the other hand, the prime minister’s tiger relief force has also come to the fore in the field to curb gran selling in the district. Instructed the shopkeepers to display the rate list in a prominent place.
Saif Anwer Jappah ordered to take strict action if some abnormality took place.
